The Rock Wall Fund is a BFIS account of monies collected over many years from specific fundraisers, PTO contributions, and private donations. The original purpose of the fund was not formally documented but was reportedly set up by the previous administration for the purpose of building Community Rock Wall in the BFIS gym. When Mrs. Bogner became Principal in 2012, she was given the task of finding the proper disposition of the fund. After researching the situation, consulting staff, and conferring with the Brandon School Board, Mrs. Bogner concluded that the original plan to purchase a Rock Wall was no longer feasible and would not be approved by the School Board. Mrs. Bogner researched options and found an excellent alternative. After careful consideration, she chose to purchase a large piece of playground equipment, a climbing wall structure similar in style to a traditional rock wall.

We are proud to announce the climbing structure will be installed in the BFIS playground the weekend of October 5th. Mrs. Bogner will make a formal announcement to the school and community at that time. The PTO and school administration are excited to have this new addition to its playground for use by the entire Brandon Community.

Vice President-Marie Manion
Marie is coordinating the Volunteers this year. In addition to the Volunteer Form sent home to parents, she is introduced a new online tool parents can use to volunteer called Sign Up Genius. An email blast giving the link to Sign Up Genius will be sent to all persons signed up to receive emails from BFIS.

Katherine Carpenter submitted the 2013-2014 Preliminary Budget for review. She cautioned that the Preliminary Budget was based on the 2012-2013 budget and did not reflect the addition of a 200+ new 4th grade students.

Belle Ann: $3,843.38
